Job Summary

The School Psychological Examiner is responsible for working collaboratively with school team members to administer and interpret psychological and educational assessments. The goal is to help students reach their full potential by providing and interpreting test data, which informs the development of appropriate educational plans and support services.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Adhere to Federal/State laws, District policies, and regulations.
• Ensure confidentiality of all student information.
• Identify students' psychological and educational needs, and make appropriate referrals.
• Administer psychological and/or educational assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive written diagnostic reports based on evaluation results.
• Provide oral interpretations of assessment results to school staff and families.
• Assist in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all students referred, screened, or receiving services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications

• Required: Licensure as a School Psychological Examiner (Licensure Number 316, 272, 526) or a valid certificate.
• Desired: Two years of teaching experience, or experience in special education, counseling, or psychometrics.
