Job Summary
The Psychological Examiner/School Psychologist works with team members in the school to administer and interpret assessments, which enable the student to work toward his/her potential by providing and interpreting test data that will assist in the development of an appropriate educational plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains regular attendance
- Complies with Federal/State Law and District policies and regulations
- Maintains confidentiality
- Identifies pupil needs, and makes appropriate referrals
- Administers psychological and/or educational tests
- Prepares written diagnostic reports of evaluations.
- Prepares oral interpretations of assessment results
- Provides assistance in the development of an IEP
- Maintains accurate files and paperwork for the individual student referred, screened and/or receiving therapy of other school-provided services.
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, And/Or Certifications
- Required: Licensure Number 316, 272, 526, or a valid certificate as a School Psychological Examiner
- Desired: Two years teaching experience, experience in special eduation, counseling, or psychometrics
